SoundCatcher® is an acoustical roof ventilation mat used underneath standing seam metal roofing. The unique design of the entangled multi-filaments, along with the heat bonded proprietary fabric, allows Advanced Building Products to manufacture SoundCatcher® in a thinner thickness, yet have superior acoustical sound reduction, compared to the thicker R-Vent® product we offer. The airspace created by the entangled filaments doubles as a multi-directional ventilation mat allowing airflow between the roofing membrane and underside of the standing seam metal roof panels. This convective airflow allows moisture, that otherwise could condense on the underside of the roofing panel, the ability to remain dry, greatly reducing the chance for moisture buildup that eventually would lead to rotting of the roof deck, deterioration of the roofing membrane, and damage to the standing seam metal roof panels.
